Carluccio’s
Carluccio’s is located a few minutes walk from International Hall. Offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert, it is a great sit down location for a meal at any time of the day. Its prices are about in the mid-range, neither extremely expensive nor cheap. A plate of pasta will cost about 8 pounds, while a meat or fish dish is closer to 15 pounds. Carluccio’s has an extensive wine collection and offers many desserts, including ice cream, meringues. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are happy to explain menu items to customers, as most of the menu is listed in Italian. The breakfast is especially good, and the Eggs Benedict comes highly recommended. One weeknights, the restaurant runs a good meal deal in which you can get a starter and main course for only 9.95 pounds. To drink, you can order coffee, juices, soda or wine, and spirits, although they have a small collection of hard alcohol. Their location makes Carluccio’s a great choice when you’re craving a hearty sit down meal and have some time to relax. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and are large enough to accommodate big groups. Overall, for the price the food is excellent and the staff help make the experience a positive one.
